By Car

M6 Junction 44
From the roundabout at Junction 44 follow the A7/Kingstown Road for about 2 miles. At the roundabout (Hardwicke Circus which is adjacent to the Civic Centre Tower Block) take the 3rd exit onto A595/Castle Way. Follow Castle Way/A595 staying in the left hand lane, and take the 1st exit which takes you to a junction on East Walls .Turn left, then first right just before theMarket Hall. Continue along the one way system till you see Fisher Street Car Park on the left at an obvious gap in the street architeture Sat Nav - CA3 8RE

M6 Junction 43
Leave the M6 at Junction 43, take the 1st exit A69/Warwick Road. Follow A69/Warwick Road for 2 miles. Turn Right at the traffic lights adjacent to the Church onto Victoria Place. Continue to follow Victoria Place for 0.2 miles. At the traffic lights turn right onto A7/Georgian Way, continue along Georgian Way to the Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Castle Way/A595. Follow Castle Way/A595 staying in the left hand lane, and take the 1st exit which takes you to a junction on East Walls .Turn left, then first right just before the Market Hall. Continue along the one way system till you see Fisher Street Car Park on the left at an obvious gap in the street architeture . Sat Nav - CA3 8RE

Car Parking
The streets surrounding the festival venues have one hour disc zone parking The nearest car park to the venues is Fisher Street car park (CA3 8RE) which is a 5 minute walk from the Hotel and Library and a 2 minute walk from Tullie House and Cakes and Ale. This car park charges £1 an hour. There are several car parks within a few minutes walk of the venues.

By Train

Carlisle can be reached by train from London, Manchester, Newcastle & Glasgow. The station is a 15 minute walk away or a 5/10 minute taxi ride away from the events at the four venues. There is a taxi rank outside the station

If walking, leave the station and bear left heading into Carlisle City Centre, pass B & M Bargain Store and cross at the pedestrian crossing going ahead onto English Street, you will pass Marks and Spencer,Top Shop and The Entertainer on your left.


By Bus

Leave the station turning right onto Lonsdale Street, cross at the pedestrian crossing and continue up Bank Street, turn right onto English Street. Directions as for train travel
