Kirstie Pelling, writer and travel blogger for twenty years, has hiked, biked, canoed and railroaded more than 20 countries with her family for her multi-award-winning website, The Family Adventure Project. Her adventures first began when she cycled across South America on her honeymoon, with a bicycle paid for by the wedding guests, and continued when she had kids, pulling them behind her in cycle trailers until they were old enough to pedal themselves. Kirstie has also been Poet in Residence for Lonely Planet Kids, a columnist for Cumbria Life Magazine, and her articles have been published in many national and international publications. Now based in the Lake District, Kirstie’s previous books include Life's a Catastrophe and The Happiness Project
