Luke Yates

An Introduction to Emotive Songwriting

Whether you're an experienced songwriter, or a fledgling troubadour - this workshop will enable you to deeply connect with your listeners and write more authentic, and more impactful songs.

You'll experience an introduction to the techniques that hit songwriters use to create songs that truly move an audience. This class is appropriate for all ability/experience levels.

NB. There will be an opportunity for a couple of songwriters to have a song critiqued in the session - send an email to with an mp3 and lyric sheet to be considered for a live critique.

Luke Yates is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter, but he's no textbook troubadour. He has spent the last 3 years working as an artist mentor and business coach and empowers songwriters and entrepreneurs to find their authentic voice through storytelling.

"Luke has many strings to his bow.. An absolutely superb songwriter"
Bob Harris, BBC Radio 2

"Immensely likeable, he had a stage presence that immediately endeared you to him"
Chris Farlie, W21Music
