Helen Weston

Writing as Therapy

Helen is a therapist and a writer, so combines the two disciplines in this innovative workshop, which looks at the therapeutic power of writing out trauma alongside the exploration of identity that creative writing affords. The workshop will involve some intriguing writing exercises, so please bring pen and paper.

Helen Weston has published a novel and a memoir and has led several creative writing workshops (one lasting three years!). Her recent novel, It is Solved by Walking, explores the debatable lands where therapy and fiction meet. She has a therapy practice near Dalston.
