Gervase Phinn

The School Inspector Calls!

Prepare yourself for a feast of observational humour and laughter as Gervase Phinn recounts tales and anecdotes from his life as a teacher and school inspector. Gervase is a born raconteur and his stories are amusing, perceptive, and sometimes poignant. His talk is guaranteed to be laugh-out-loud funny and entertaining.

Gervase Phinn is a freelance lecturer, broadcaster, writer, poet, educational consultant and a visiting professor of education. For fourteen years he taught in a range of schools in Yorkshire, and spent a further ten years as a school inspector - time that has provided much source material for his books. His most recent book is the first in a new series of novels, The School at the Top of the Dale.
