Hunter Davies in conversation with Richard Eccles
For thirty years, Hunter Davies and his wife, Margaret Forster, lived half of each year in Loweswater and half in London. They always said it was like living twice - a rural life and an urban life. For the past ten years, in his entertaining and popular columns in Cumbria Life, he has written about that Loweswater life and so much more. My Cumbria Life has 100 of Hunter’s columns from the magazine and will be his 100th published book. Is this a record?
Hunter Davies, author and journalist, still writes a column on money in the Sunday Times, on football in the New Statesman and on any old thing in Cumbria Life.
Richard Eccles has been the editor of Cumbria Life, the flagship monthly lifestyle magazine covering life and landscape in Cumbria, since 2007. He lives with his family in Caldbeck.
